Neodymium iron boron permanent magnet material (also known as NdFeB, strong magnet) is the strongest permanent magnet in the current commercial magnetic material market, with a maximum energy product of 26MGOe to 52MGOe. Neodymium iron boron is a permanent magnet made of alloys of neodymium, iron, and boron, forming a Nd2Fe14B tetragonal crystal structure.
Powder metallurgy process is used to produce sintered neodymium iron boron magnets. Although sintered neodymium iron boron is mechanically stronger than samarium cobalt permanent magnets and is more fragile than other magnets, it is not suitable for use as a structural component.
